Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a regional strategy to promote MathWorks solutions in educational institutions. 
  • Build strong relationships with academic leaders including Deans, Directors, HoDs, and Faculty. 
  • Drive the adoption of Campus-Wide Licensing across key institutions. 
  • Collaborate with the Application Engineering team to conduct seminars, workshops, and product demonstrations. 
  • Understand curriculum needs and position MATLAB/Simulink as teaching and research enablers. 
  • Identify and support academic initiatives such as student competitions, faculty development programs (FDPs), and research collaborations. 
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process – from enquiry to proposal, negotiation, and closure. 
  • Ensure consistent post-sales engagement through onboarding, usage tracking, and training support. 
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions through CRM tools. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Science; an MBA is an added advantage. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic software sales, education consulting, or institutional business development. 
  • Strong knowledge of the academic landscape in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Exposure to MATLAB, Simulink, or similar engineering/scientific software. 
  • Experience working with government-funded institutions (e.g., NITs, IIITs, State Technical Universities). 
  • Understanding of curriculum development, academic budgeting, and accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC).
